The Downtown Arts District Association presents a very special collection of music to BENEFIT The DOWNTOWN ARTS DISTRICT COMMUNITY CENTER. You can have this music for your own when you purchase the CD OF LOCAL ARTISTS titled: The DADA CD Project > Volume 1


From the beginning, the Downtown Arts District has been supported by so many local artists including visual, performing, and musical. The following artists have contributed their work in support of the CD project: Martha Bassett, Jeffrey Dean Foster, The Saving Graces, Emma Gibbs Band, Ron Rudkin, Black Ball Karl, Andy Freakin’ Mabe, the-bo-stevens, Clare Fader & the Vaudevillians, Bobby Dazzler, Peter May & the Rough Band, Evoka, Watson Hall, The Skellingtons, Matt Kendrick Unit, Big Ron Hunter & Have Mercy Band, Jerry Chapman and Gomachi. The artwork for the CD info was contributed by some of our local artists.

The cost of the CD is $10. You can purchase it downtown on Thursdays at Flow's Alive After Five, Fridays at 4th Street Jazz & Blues and Saturdays in the Arts District at Bob Neill Pontiac/GMC's Summer On Trade music series events this summer. You can also purchase it at the following Winston-Salem locations: Borders, Record Exchange, Patina, Piedmont Craftsmen, Chelsee’s Coffee Shop & More, Fiber Company, Earthbound Arts, Urban Artware, Silver Moon Saloon, Textures, Karma, 6th & Vine, Speakeasy Jazz and SIN Coffee Bar.

This project is funded by a grant from the Winston-Salem Foundation to assist DADA’s fundraising efforts for the creation of a community center, a space for community and member galleries, arts-in-education programs, a visitor’s center, and new DADA office/ meeting space to support the mission of the organization.
