Artworks Gallery is an artist-run cooperative gallery located in Winston-Salem's Downtown Art District since 1984. The Gallery is committed to offering local artists of all media a creative and responsive environment in which to exhibit and sell their work.

Atelier Studios

619 N. Trade  St.

Atelier Studios is a unique studio, teaching, and exhibition environment for eight artists. The open-studio concept allows visitors to see art as it is being created and to view finished art by the artist. Other artists are invited   to show their art in the main gallery and window gallery,  with a new show opening each month for the First Friday Gallery Hop.

Hours:  Most afternoons, some evenings, occasional mornings. First Friday Gallery Hops, Saturday Summer on Trade. It' s best to call ahead for an appointment to meet with particular artists and view their art.

Fiber Company 

600 N. Trade St.

Fiber Company is a partnership with members Carolyn Glazener, B. Jane Doub, Kay Tuttle, Dee Conner, Olivia Camden Mackie and Kathryn Gauldin. A working weaving studio, fiber artists create hand-woven clothing and accessories and carry local artist works on consignment from jewelers, potters, woodworkers, and photographers.

THE OTHER HALF gallery is located in the "Heart of the Arts District".

Propst opened the gallery to exhibit not only Ron's pottery, but also, fine crafts in wood, glass, clay and metal, mixed media, paintings and well designed commercial works. 

Exhibitions of featured artist are scheduled throughout the year.  The gallery offers the following sevices: special orders and commissions, gift certificates, gift boxing and shipping.

Winter hours are

Wednesday - Friday 11-5 and Saturday 11-4. 

Summer hours beginning inJune are

Tuesday - Friday 11-6 and Saturdays 11-4.

The Edge Gallery

Hand Made in North Carolina. These unique baskets are made in Winston-Salem from baskets are made in Winston-Salem from long leaf pine needle by Jim McCreery. All of his baskets are made from locally gathered pine needles with natural embellishments. Jim also does very detailed scroll saw work as can be seen by the Humming Bird in this basket. He has been making baskets for 12 years and also teaches the art at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown NC.
